Franco Manca opens in Westfield London with two Gozney Ovens in service.

Tuesday 8th November 2016

Having opened in 2008, Westfield White City was the first Westfield Shopping Centre to open, over the Westfield Stratford offering. 8 years later and Westfield White City is opening a Franco Manca on site, to join Wagamama, The Real Greek and Five Guys to name a few.

Franco Manca will be a welcome offering to the bustling White City Shopping Mall, sharing their unique, hand-crafted and popular pizza offering with hungry shoppers.

Franco Manca originally shook up the UK pizza market when it started in 2008 in Brixton Market. This honest Neapolitan Pizza offering has since grown exponentially, now boasting over 26 sites and counting.

Offering a soft based, traditional pizza concept, Franco Manca has grown from strength to strength with critics and customers loving their sourdough offering.

Recently voted ‘The Best Italian Restaurant in the UK’ according to Yelp, the original Brixton Franco Manca can serve over 600 pizzas per day to hungry customers.

Franco Manca has balanced the maintenance of tradition with pioneering development, keeping themselves on top of the food chain when it comes to pizza restaurant success. Keeping their age-old sourdough recipe untouched and trading in their innefficient older oven models, Franco Manca has chosen a custom wood oven by Gozney Ovens in all new stores from 2015.

“We were very excited to support Franco Manca with their plans for growth, “ said Tom Gozney, the Gozney Ovens CEO. Gozney Ovens boast excellent efficiency and DEFRA certification, which enables Franco Manca’s across London and further afield to burn wood. Designed especially for Franco Manca, Gozney Ovens use a version based on their Napoli Range, to suit Franco Manca’s specialist requirements.

Now installing in all their current and future sites, Gozney Ovens are excited to be installing two wood fired pizza ovens in the new Westfield White City Franco Manca.
