The Spa Hotel install a Gozney oven as part of their refurbishment

The Spa Hotel was originally built in 1766 as a country mansion, turning into a hotel in 1880. In May 2007, it was bought by Scragg Hotels Limited which is a new company formed by the Scragg and Marston families and has undergone an exciting and extensive refurbishment.

Part of that refurbishment was the introduction of a pizza oven for their guests to enjoy fresh, cooked-to-order pizzas. It’s located in their Orangery Terrace which overlooks stunning gardens and grounds, the perfect setting for an al fresco dining experience.

When it came to choosing the right oven for the hotel, it was essential for Scragg Hotels Limited to find an oven that could be quickly installed so as not to disrupt from the normal hotel proceedings. All the Gozney ovens are built on site using their fast assembly system, which means that not only does install take between 1-2 days but even the largest piece can fit through a standard doorway, eradicating any access issues.

The Spa Hotel opted for a Classic 1250 to be in keeping with the style of the hotel. For more information on the Classic 1250, please click here.
