Woodbox Pizza began as a mobile wood fired business serving traditional Neapolitan pizza for festivals, weddings and other events out of their Citroen H Van. After several years of fully booked weekends and summers, Woodbox Pizza decided to set up a more permanent fixture in their hometown of Brighton. They found the perfect property in the heart of Kemptown, a few steps back from Brighton’s beautiful seafront.
As Woodbox are already known for their incredible Neapolitan pizzas, they needed an oven that would be able to produce the same amazing results. Neil, from the Woodbox team, visited the Gozney test kitchen to get hands on with the oven and test its performance. Woodbox decided to opt with a Napoli 1250 which is specifically designed for high temperature pizza cooking. The Napoli 1250 has been designed to a high standard that has resulted in a durable, reliable oven that performs without fault.
The condensed menu at Woodbox Pizza features traditional pizza topping combinations using fresh, local ingredients, many of which are sourced from the local Sussex area.
